Strategy Overview
HERO is a Fusion-focused meta-archetype built from several sub-archetypes that work in tandem. The core engine involves Stratos (non-once-per-turn search for any HERO monster), Shadow Mist (GY search when sent, usually by Vyon), and the Vision HERO trio of Faris, Increase, and Vyon to put monsters in the GY and search Polymerization. Miracle Fusion then reuses GY monsters for additional Fusion Summons at zero card cost. Destiny HERO - Malicious and Denier enable Link climbing via Xtra HERO Cross Crusader, with Fusion Destiny accessing Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer directly from the Deck.
Sub-archetypes provide specialized tools: Masked HERO Dark Law applies a one-sided banish effect via Mask Change on any DARK HERO, while Evil HERO Adusted Gold and Inferno Wing search Dark Fusion to end on omni-negate Dark Supremacy. The Xtra HERO Link Monsters round out the board by recycling Fusion Spells and searching materials, giving the deck an adaptive closing toolkit across any sub-archetype variant.
